Handy Cricut Tips- Mat Tips
Hi there!
I have a couple Cricut tips for you! The first is one that was passed to me from CTMH consultants. Not quite sure who in particular but I know my upline Krista mentioned it.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR MAT IS TOO STICKY:
When you buy a new mat it is crazy sticky and can actually wreck your paper. So use your arm and pat it all over the mat for a bit to ease the adhesive. If like me you are allergic to adhesive use a long sleeved shirt LOL. I had a rash on my arms for a week!
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR MAT IS NOT STICKY ENOUGH:
This is a no brainer, you buy a new mat, right? WRONG! I just was on Pinterest and then clicked on this great site!

Lots of great ideas! Check out for some PINS on my Pinterest site for a neat Chore Chart which includes printables. There is also a link to a printable chart to stick to your Cricut Machine on what to set your blade at for different papers.
Anyway- you can actually make your mat sticky again! What a great money saving idea! Here is the post below. Keep in mind you would still obviously need to replace your mat when it is getting too cut up.
Incidentally, you CAN turn your mat around. Some people think you must always put the arrow first. YOU DON'T! Since most often do not use the entire 12x12 paper when cutting, the mat will tend to be used more in one corner. So be sure to turn it around to get some use out of the other corner of your mat.

New Cricut cartridge and much more!
I could post all day with all the convention news. Eventually my kids will be returned to me and I'll have to be a mom again though lol.
Here are some pics and updates from my team and other awesome consultants who are tweeting and posting on Facebook from convention
1) new Cricut cartridge! This will be a hot item! Consultants can start to see and order from new idea book now but customers it goes live Aug 1st. Preorder with me today! I know when the last one was released there was a back order as demand was HUGE!
2) 13 WOTG kits ( workshop on the go). These are the kits that have everything you need included for only $29.95 including instructional brochure! There will be a bunch with layouts, some with home decor items and some with card kits. The Halloween themed one which uses the new Cricut cartridge is pictured below.
3) new colours/ new palatte/ new markers! So there will only be 40 colours. We are not yet sure which are retiring. Some of the new colours are pictured below. Also we now have alcohol markers! Yes like copics! They will come in packs of 2 and each pack will have 2 coordinating colours! Can't wait as you already know about my copic addiction! Also there will be pigment inks which will be great for home decor projects. And all 40 colours will come in mini pads for doing projects! How fun!

Paper flower Christmas ornaments
Hi there!
So I know I haven't been great at posting all the things I've been working on. But I thought today while I was looking at the many email blogs I get that if I can't post my own stuff, at least I can showcase some of the amazing work that is out there! I absolutely LOVE Christmas so I really enjoy seeing what people are making this time of year. I'm in search of a great, non-edible idea for an advent calendar!
So, I've showcased Jayma's blog before. But her creativity has struck me again! Check out her blog here to see her latest creation. These ornaments are so cute. Made with the amazing CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for Cricut- a must buy for any Cricut owner! If you don't have it yet, give someone special my card and tell them to contact me so you can receive the perfect gift for Christmas! It's amazing everything this ONE cartridge can do!
Anyway- check out her blog to learn how to make one yourself. She uses bible pages but really you can use anything. I think I may make some with our kids. Our tree is completely decorated in homemade ornaments. It started when hubby and I were first living together and couldn't afford to buy ornaments. So I made some. It started with felt I had laying around and some glitter glue LOL. For the next few years as more money was available, the ornaments became more advanced. It became such a tradition we stuck with it. The only bought ones you'll see on our tree were gifts. So also very special. Now with 3 kids, I love that they can be a part of making new ornaments!
If you are interested in making these and don't have a Cricut, contact me and maybe we can set up a workshop! It will force me into being creative!

Yet another use for the Cricut- faux letterpress!
Just a quick post- I was amazed by this! I love the look of what she is calling Faux letterpress but to me I think dry embossing. But maybe you don't have a lot of dies to go with your cuttlebug or Big Shot, or maybe not the right one. Well- here is your answer!

If you haven't yet seen the CTMH Cricut cartridge you really need to. Especially if you make cards as there are numerous card bases, tags and envelopes. It is one of my favourite cartridges.
