Artwork! Copic colouring and card making

Hey there
So I did some colouring this evening with my 2 older kiddies while we made cards. The post tonight is what I did. The stamp is one I got from One Crazy Stamper to colour with my copics. The first picture is the final result of the colouring. The second is my card.

The paper used is an older one I have but a fav. CTMH Lazy Days. I lost track of what copic colors I used which is odd since I only have 12 LOL. I used Menento Ink in Tuxedo Black to stamp the image as this is one that won't bleed when using copics.

I have some paper coming which is made for copics. I found the markers to bleed a bit. Not sure if it is me or the paper so I'll let you know how that goes.

I hope you have found some time for some relaxation with June winding down and the crazy schedules!

Here are my next items to play with!

So I got my order in from One Crazy Stamper. First off a call out to her! Lora is awesome! I am not a fan of online shopping. I usually find if you get good prices the customer services is horrible. And on Canadian sites ( which saves us the duty and such) the prices are usually high. But this company is in Canada (just in Bolton ON if you want to go to the physical store), has great prices and super customer service. For Copics there is a deal for buying a bakers dozen. And she has a stamp club. Don't get me wrong...still shop with me and CTMH lol. But if there is something I can't provide you I highly recommend her! Her site is www.onecrazystamper.com.

Anyway... Placed my order Sun night, it was shipped on Monday and arrived on Tues! Along with my new copics I also got a few stamps. Can't wait to get coloring. Again posting from my phone so the picture will be at the bottom but these are the cuties I got. I figured I can mask out the sentiments and use the characters for so many things.

My next challenge was... How do I get them on a block?! Any stamps I have bought were CTMH or ones like that where they are acrylic and just cling to a block. So I had to contact my CTMH "grandma" and ask for help. One of the many things I love about CTMH. There is such an awesome community of support! I'm going over there tomorrow so we can mount my new stamps. I'll post the instructions after we are done. So stay tuned for that. I still of course prefer the clear stamps like we sell but it seems it's not easy to find those for the cute images.

Here's a pic (hopefully!) of my neighbor and one of Kaylee's best buds on the left , my daughter Kaylee in the middle. This was after their recital for dance. And our youngest Ben couldn't miss a photo op.

So... If this works you will hear from me a lot more! My hubby teases me about the fact my phone is never far from my hands unless the kids are playing games!

Btw... Did you read yesterday's post? If so... Shhh... Come closer I have to whisper... I bought some copics. I'll tell you all about it as I ordered last night and they were shipped today! Can't wait for tomorrow! I'll take a pic and post when my goodies arrive!

Hi All!
I'm sorry I disappeared for awhile there.  We have sadly had 2 members of our family who have been very ill and we have spent a lot of time with family and back and forth to Toronto along with all our normal chaos.  I'm hoping now that things are slowing down a little and with summer coming...which means TRAILER TIME... I will have some more time to post regularly.

On Sat I was at my CTMH grandmother's house for an all day crop (LOVE THOSE!) and had a super good time.  I've gotten most of an album done for an uncle who is one of those who has been very ill.  Don't worry... it's ok... he will never be on here to read this!  I'll post pictures of that when I'm done.

This was the other thing I was having fun with...

I used one of Sheri's stamps and coloured this little guy.  I just LOVE this!!  This was my rough copy. She suggested when using markers like this to do one first where you mark down what you used.  Then you keep that in a journal so that if you like a colour combination you can go back to it!  The skin tone was done with her copics.  The rest were with my BIC Mark Its which I bought a set as I read on sites they were a great cheap alternative to copics.  Can I tell you something?  I'm buying some copics.  They really do blend a lot better and the colour options are SO much better!  I had one red...hard to blend with one!  But I was still pleased with how it turned out.  And having that set already means I can slowly build my stash of copics but still have some options for colouring as I find this so nice and relaxing.  I also stamped a bunch of these and just did the skin tones (since I borrowed those) so I can colour them and use them on future cards and layouts.  A great thing to do at crops if you really like a stamp set or cartridge or something someone has!

Anyway...way past my bedtime but since I meant to post on Friday and that didn't happen I figured I would go on now quickly!  I would love to be able to do this on my iphone... anyone know of an app for that?!

I hope all the Daddy's in your life had a wonderful Father's Day today!  Al and I took our 2 older kids to see a 3D movie...they are really amazing aren't they?!  I love watching my daughter jump back from things on the screen LOL. We had a nice dinner here as well with my parents.  And are SO hoping that by next Father's Day (and hopefully sooner) maybe Al's parents will be closer!  We sure do miss them around here.
